Segment of old concrete on Varner Road from the former US Route 60/70/99 north of Palm Springs, California at it terminates at current Interstate 10.
(Thank you to Michael Ballard for the following). The original panels were 16' wide in 1922 and a 4' wide strip was added in 1926 to widen the travel lanes. This section was bypassed in the 1950s by the US Route 99 Expressway before Interstate 10 was formally created in the 1970s.
